It was just announced last week that Gerard Butler had checked himself into rehab for his addiction issues, which may have included prescription drugs and cocaine. At the time of the announcement, Gerard had already been checked into rehab for several weeks. He got out on Friday, I believe. So what better place to go just days after rehab than a giant Hollywood party full of booze, biscuits & blow? I mean… what?
Look, Gerard looks good in these photos, taken outside the Vanity Fair party. He looks thinned out, but not strung out. Not puffy. Tan. Rested. Healthier than he has in the past year or so. But I’m still concerned. Gerard obviously has addiction issues, and wouldn’t a party like this be a huge trigger for him? Or has he just decided to indulge his sex addiction (I’m assuming, but it makes sense, doesn’t it?) and drown himself in Hollywood C-lister strange? Which is healthier for Gerard – women or coke? I’m just saying… Gerard might want to rethink this PR strategy.
And I’m including photos of Alex Skarsgard at the VF party, just so the anti-Butlers have something to look at.

And Gerard looks great and groomed, I like that he’s getting his stuff together but it seemed odd that he announced the rehab-stint a week before he finished it.
Hey!!! He’s back to a better hair color. Still like the dark brown/Irish black best, though. Even with hints of silver. 🙂
He looks . . . better. Hopefully he can stay away from the 3 Bs.

Why did he even tell people he went? Did he have some kind of major public meltdown? Wish celebrities could keep some things to themselves. Though I guess they do and we don’t hear about it. I hope. Yes, bad PR.

Good luck with hanging out at a place like that post-rehab. Didn’t work for me. He looks fresher for sure.

If there was an encounter between Bos, The Hobbit and Alex, I have no doubt that Alex was as gracious as ever…as he told them to mind their step and not trip over the parade of women following him around. 😉
I think Gerard looks good. You can tell he’s doing a lot better, ’cause he looks less dirty. I’m impressed! I’m not sure it’s a good thing he’s at a party so soon, but I guess it’s hard in this business to avoid them?

Well when I heard that Butler checked into rehab but will be out this weekend, my first thought was: there, there just in time for the Oscar. Guess my cynical self was right. That’s for sure the best idea – from rehab straight to party.
Right? That’s so contrived. From rehab press communication, to pap pics of him “jogging” on Sunset Boulevard, to this. I see the man’s got his priorities set straight… (it’s not like he was in any nominated movie and went to the party as a team player of those nominated movies).
Thinned out? He had lost so much weight this past year he looks disgusting, sickly.
I think he’s gained some weight back … so he looks somewhat better. But he doesn’t look happy. Just there and smiling.
Gerard looks very handsome. He needed to be seen for his career. He needs to show the powers that be in that industry that he is fine and insurable.

Gerard has been alcohol-free for years, so I don’t think he would have been tempted at the party as long as he stayed away from the bathrooms.
